FRESH MEAT FESTIVAL
Our annual festival of transgender and queer performance is celebrated for artistic excellence and innovation. The festival features the nation's leading transgender and queer dance, theater, music and interdisciplinary performance artists. Advance tickets are recommended for the Fresh Meat Festival (always the third weekend of June), as this popular event sells out quickly.

SEAN DORSEY DANCE
Named San Francisco's "Best Dance/Performance Company" (SF Weekly), Sean Dorsey Dance performs Artistic Director Sean Dorsey's award-winning choreography at home and on tour. Dorsey is celebrated as the nation's first out transgender modern dance choreographer and has been awarded two Isadora Duncan Dance Awards, the Goldie Award for Performance and was recently named in Dance Magazine's top "25 To Watch." Sean Dorsey Dance's Home Season is in February.

FRESH MEAT IN THE GALLERY
Our annual Fresh Meat in the Gallery exhibition features artwork from transgender visual artists from across the U.S. and around the world. This international exhibition asks artists to respond to contemporary questions/themes and presents their outstanding new work. Fresh Meat in the Gallery is presented in June through July.

TRANNY FEST
Fresh Meat Productions proudly co-presents this annual transgender film festival. Now in its 12th year, Tranny Fest made history as the nation's first transgender film festival and continues to make waves by supporting independent, underground and experimental filmmakers. Tranny Fest takes place in November and features a performance event and a weekend film festival.

TOURING

COMMISSIONING
Fresh Meat Productions invests deeply in artists and in the creation of new art. We commission new dance and performance each year, and our Queer Traditions Program commissions transgender and queer traditional artists to create and perform new work for our Fresh Meat Festival. Queer Traditions highlights, celebrates and supports LGBTQ people as important culture bearers and leaders and allows our community to see ourselves reflected in traditional and folkloric arts.

COMMUNITY PARTNERSHIP PROGRAM
Fresh Meat Productions is rooted deeply in community. We grow and thrive with the support and participation of our team of Community Partners. Our Community Partners are local LGBTQ nonprofit organizations and businesses who work with us and invest in our programs, support our outreach, promote audience development, and connect our programs to diverse communities. Contact us for more information...

COMMUNITY COLLABORATIONS
Fresh Meat works in collaboration with other nonprofit community organizations to co-produce programs and events throughout the year. Fresh Meat Productions is a proud co-sponsor of the annual Trans March, Frameline programs and many other events. We are always looking for new ways to collaborate with and work in solidarity with other transgender, queer and POC organizations and programs. Contact us for more information...
